Dr. Chad Dockter
Dr. Chad Dockter attended the University of Minnesota from 1985-1989 to study Biology. He then attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1989 and graduated in 1993. At Illinois College of Optometry he completed an externship at Low Vision Resources in Minneapolis. He and his wife moved back home to the Twin Cities and have resided in in the Chaska/Carver area along with their two girls Avery and Shayne.
Dr. Amy Freed
Dr. Amy Freed received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1992 from the University of South Dakota with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. Dr. Freed also received her Bachelor of Science in Visual Science in 1994 while at Illinois College of Optometry. In 1997 she graduated with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry and earned her Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Freed started practicing in Madison, Wisconsin then moved to Minnesota in 1998, where she continues to practice.
Dr. Chris Freed
Dr. Chris Freed graduated from Michigan State University in 1993 with a major in biology and a minor in ecology. Dr. Freed graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 1997. Originally practicing in Madison, WI with his wife Amy, Dr Freed moved to Minnesota in 1998.
Dr. Scott Glaser
Dr. Scott Glaser attended Minnesota State University Mankato on a football scholarship and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. During his graduate school days he married his wife, Tanja, who was in the Dental Hygiene program at MSU.
Dr. Heidi Skonseng
Dr. Heidi Skonseng is originally from Huron, SD. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from South Dakota State University. From there she went on to attend the University of Houston College of Optometry where she received her Bachelor of Optometry.
Dr. Jabin Krassin
Dr. Krassin completed his undergraduate studies at Union College in Nebraska and graduated Magna Cum Laude. From there he went on to graduate from Loma Linda University Medical School and immediately began training in their ophthalmology residency program. He received extensive experience in refractive surgery at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA and graduated from residency ranked 9th in the country for refractive surgery volume as a primary resident surgeon.
Dr. Bernie Rottach
Dr. Bernie Rottach has been in optometric practice for 40 years and has many third and fourth generation families continuing to see him for family eye care. Dr. Rottach’s style of practice is geared toward individualized care with time for questions and discussion of your particular eye condition. Whether it be examining young children or treating difficult cases of glaucoma, Dr. Rottach is very thorough in his approach to eye care. He knows when to treat you and when to refer you to a trusted specialist when more advanced care is required.
Dr. Mark Wellnitz
Dr. Mark Wellnitz graduated from UW Madison in 2005 with a degree in Kinesiology and then from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2010. During his 4th year clinical rotations, Dr. Wellnitz focused on cornea and contact lenses, pediatrics, refractive surgery, and ocular disease comanagement. He had an especially rewarding rotation at the Mountain Home VA in Johnson City, TN and enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
