About the Patient Support Representative role:

  • Answer phones and schedule appointments. Collect and verify patient demographic information.

  • Re-schedule and cancel appointments.

  • Triage patient phone calls and schedule appropriately.

  • Transfer phone calls to appropriate destination.

  • Confirm patient appointments and verify insurance benefits.

  • Process and place contact lens orders in practice management system and with appropriate vendor.

  • Collect payments and bill insurance as necessary.

  • Prepare charts for the following days by compiling appropriate electronic forms in charts, confirm patient appointments, and verifying insurance benefits.

  • Greet patients to check in and out for appointment. Review paperwork with patients and take copies of insurance cards.

  • Ensure waiting area and patient areas neat and tidy. Empty trash, vacuum, and wipe down surfaces to ensure a clean office.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED required

Job Type

  • Full-time

Pay:

​$16 - $18 an hour
