About the Patient Experience Leader Role:

  • Responsible for overall efficiency and flow of front desk and call center.

  • Coach, train, and develop staff on a day-to-day basis. Assist with employee yearly evaluations.

  • Responsible for first impressions of patient experience, including phone etiquette, cleanliness of clinic and patient interactions.

  • Involvement in interviewing, hiring, and training employees.

  • Complete monthly staff schedule.

  • Resolve escalated patient situations.

  • Foster a collaborate environment with all staff and peers.

  • Perform back-up front desk duties included but not limited to greeting patients, checking patients in and out for appointments, reviewing paperwork with patients and take copies of insurance cards, enter demographic and insurance information in software, verify insurance benefits. Collect co-pays, co-insurances, contact lens fitting fees, and any other payments due at the time of service.

  • Answer phones and schedule and modify appointments.

  • Triage patient phone calls and transfer phone calls to appropriate destination

  • Process and place contact lens orders in practice management system and with appropriate vendor.

  • Support Optical Department during high volume times by dispensing glasses, completing adjustment and repairs, and assisting with sales and orders.

  • Other administrative duties including but not limited to reconciling monthly statements with invoices, ordering office supplies, and administer monthly reports.

  • Responsible for cleanliness of patient areas.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You meet these requirements:

  • Three years related customer service experience

  • One year of experience in optometry clinic required
